1 Spencer Parade, Northampton. NN1 5AA.

Private sessions can be arranged at a location of your choice – please contact us to discuss your needs.

This was born out of the inspirational advances of VR and a severe lack of hydrotherapy in Northampton. VR therapy should be available to all children with special needs and adults, regardless of disabilities or finances. By combining it with hydrotherapy, it becomes an innovative & immersive therapy – such as swimming with dolphins. Medical VR is already available in hospitals and has shown amazing results. From supporting children through chemotherapy to improving social and behavioural difficulties in autism as well as reducing levels of pain, stress, depression and anxiety The profits from VR therapies will ensure it is affordable to the community as well as enable local charities to access VR therapies for free. This is the future of therapy and rehabilitation!

Our centre is open Monday-Friday 10am-5.30pm. We’re closed over the weekend.

Please note: There may be some availability outside of these hours, please drop us an email ([email protected]) to find out more.

The term hydrotherapy term encompasses a broad range of approaches and therapeutic methods that take advantage of the physical properties of water, such as temperature and pressure, for therapeutic purposes. Hydrotherapy is a part of naturopathy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, that involves the use of water for pain relief and treatment.

Pools are heated to a constant therapeutic temperature of between 34 and 35 degrees. For many people, warm waters offer relaxation, freedom from pain and a brief escape from the ailments that stop them moving freely the rest of the time. People can experience these benefits while floating, partially submerged, or fully submerged in water.

Virtual reality (VR) is an interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment, that incorporates mainly auditory and visual, but also other types of sensory feedback like haptic. It can also be real-life footage from 360 degree cameras. This immersive environment can be similar to the real world or it can be fantastical, creating an experience that is not possible in ordinary physical reality.

Current VR technology most commonly uses virtual reality headsets or multi-projected environments, sometimes in combination with physical environments or props, to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that simulate a user’s physical presence in a virtual or imaginary environment. A person using virtual reality equipment is able to “look around” the artificial world, move around in it, and interact with virtual features or items. This allows anyone to experience swimming with dolphins in the ocean, whilst protecting their natural habitat.

VR therapies will provide all equipment required for ANY person with ANY disability to enjoy and benefit from our services. Our founder, Rebecca, is a learning disabilities nurse and she created this social enterprise to be dedicated to those with disabilities and children with special needs. Everyone is welcome and all needs will be catered for.

Health and Safety is of paramount importance at VR therapies, especially as many of our visitors have a variety of medical conditions. All staff are fully trained and experienced in first aid and BLS. There are a number of policies ensuring the design of VR therapies will protect the safety of visitors, whilst allowing positive risk taking. A medical questionnaire may be required for certain health conditions, which we are always happy to discuss prior to visiting. Please contact us if you have any concerns or queries.
